Arnold's doors come in three layers, and they are three different jobs. The town grew on framework knitting and hosiery, then spread outwards through the twentieth century, and you can read that on the front doors: Victorian and Edwardian terraces around Front Street and through Daybrook, interwar semis making up the bulk of the town, and post-war semis out at Redhill and Killisick.

The terraces are mortice-lock territory. A Victorian or Edwardian terrace that still has its original timber front door takes a mortice lock cut into the thickness of the door. That is the one door type where BS3621 is genuinely what your policy means rather than a line someone has copied across from a different kind of house.

The semis are almost all euro cylinders now. Interwar and post-war semis have overwhelmingly had the original doors swapped for uPVC or composite at some point, and those lock with a cylinder driving a multipoint mechanism. Two things go wrong: the mechanism's gearbox, which is why a handle suddenly will not lift and is a repair rather than a replacement door; or the cylinder, where the attack is snapping it and the answer is a TS007 3-star.
